HOUSTON – A man accused of causing a wreck that killed a Patton Village police officer and a little boy faced a judge for the first time Wednesday morning.
Garrett Nee, 29, is charged with murder, intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
Nee was granted a court-appointed attorney.
He's accused of leading police on a chase down Highway 242 on June 19 and running a red light. A Suburban hit Sgt. Stacey Baumgartner's patrol car.
Baumgartner and 11-year-old Adan Hilario Jr. were killed.
