HOUSTON ā A community is mourning a third grader who was tragically killed in a car accident on her way to school.
Reagan Lee, 8, was killed Tuesday after her mother slammed into the back of a flatbed pickup truck, while on their way to Fielder Elementary School around 6:30 a.m. on Falcon Park Drive near Bay Hill in Katy.

The girl's mother was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in good condition.
Investigators told Local 2 that neither of the two were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
