HPD releases surveillance photos of wanted suspect vehicle

HOUSTON – Police are hoping newly released surveillance photos will help them in identifying a vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal shooting.

Houston police said on the morning of Feb. 17, 26-year-old Amides Artiga was at home with his family when two suspects kicked in the front door of his house, located in the 4900 block of Weeping Willow in northwest Houston.

Officials say the suspects ransacked the house and then shot Artiga before driving off.

Police only describe the suspects as two men who were last seen wearing all black and ski masks.

Authorities believe the suspects drove off in a dark-colored Chevrolet or GM four-door sedan.

Anyone with information in this case should call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
