Dewberry Farm creates Trump, Clinton corn maze

BROOKSHIRE, Texas – As we all know, it is an election year. And a local farm is hoping its new corn maze design will bring more attention to the presidential race and help wrangle in more visitors.

Dewberry Farm in Brookshire is opening for the fall season at the end of September, and to attract visitors, it has created a corn maze with the faces of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton with three question marks and #Nooo!

"It was my husband's idea," co-owner Mary Emerson said. "I wanted to do a donkey and elephant."

Emerson said they have the corn maze plowed and replanted every year with a different design. She said they try to do something political every four years. Last year's maze design honored first responders.

The maze is about 8 acres and on average, should take a person about 45 minutes to go through.

"We just want people to be entertained," Emerson said.

In addition to the corn maze, there are plenty of attractions for the kiddos which include giant slides, a pumpkin patch and zip lines.

The farm's opening day is Sept. 24.
