Cold front brings rain, big temperature drop to Houston

HOUSTON – A cold front brought rain and a big change in temperatures to Houston on Monday.

The morning started warm and muggy, with scattered showers, as the rain chances increased through lunch time and the early afternoon. 

A Flash Flood Warning was issued for Brazos, Grimes, Montgomery, Walker, Washington counties until 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

A Flood Warning was issued for Walker County.

RADAR: Track heavy rain moving through Houston

Temperatures started out in the 70s on Monday morning and fell throughout the day, ending up in the middle 50s.

Rain chances stick around for much of the week, with temperatures holding in the 60s for highs and 50s for lows.

A tornado warning that was issued for Brazoria and Fort Bend counties expired at 9 a.m. The National Weather Service reported a funnel cloud was spotted on FM Road 521 just north of Angleton.
