HOUSTON – Happening now: A tornado watch has been issued until 8 p.m. for Grimes, Brazos, Washington, Trinity, Walker, Houston, Madison and Burleson counties.

Hail Safety Tip: Park cars under a garage or carport. If you don’t have one, cover your car with blankets or tarps to minimize damage.

Wind Safety Tip: Bring items like patio furniture and trash cans indoors to prevent them from becoming dangerous projectiles during the storm.

Slight Tornado Risk Tip: Ensure you and your family identify a safe place in advance, such as a bathroom or interior room without windows.

We’ll continue to track a severe weather risk for our area both today and tomorrow. Here is what we are tracking, today.

Most of the day will see breezy conditions with winds anywhere from 25-35 mph. Most of the storm chances will be widely scattered, streaming in from the coast. As we get into the overnight hours, we’ll start to see a line of storms marching south towards Houston through early Thursday morning.
