Tracking Hurricane Orlene:
With whatβs left of Ian now a remnant low on the east coast expected to bring a soggy Monday for parts of the Mid-Atlantic, weβre focused off the coast of western Mexico where Hurricane Orlene rapidly intinsified into a Category 4 hurricane before decreasing in intensity to a CAT3 with 115mph sustained winds near the eye and 140mph gusts, Orlene is forecast to move north at 8 mph and pass west of Puerto Vallarta on the way to a late Monday/early Tuesday landfall near Mazatlan as a Cat1 hurricane or tropical storm. Effects from Orlene are not expected to impact Texas.
Orlene has weakened some but still a very dangerous stormOrlene will slam into western Mexico as a Category 1 hurricane
Make sure you have our Hurricane Tracker App for updates on this system and others that form in the tropics.
