Gray, damp, fall weather continues for Houston region

HOUSTON – The wetter and cooler weather ushered in by a cold front on Monday will hang out in the Houston region much of the week.

Meteorologist Britta Merwin said commuters will contend with drizzle and patchy fog Tuesday morning.

After that, expect off-and-on showers with cloudy skies to continue for the rest of the day. Heavier rain is expected in areas northwest of Houston.

Temperatures will stay in the 50s all day.

Clouds will stick around for the rest of the week, with the best chance of rain forecast Friday. Sunshine returns by Sunday.
