'Houston Strong: The Stories Behind Hurricane Harvey': The Houston area tells its story

(KPRC)

HOUSTON – Hurricane Harvey touched the lives of many Texans, in Houston and beyond.

In an initiative called “Houston Strong: The Stories Behind Hurricane Harvey” which started shortly after the storm and floods. KPRC 2 journalists set out to tell the stories of those who were impacted.

As we learned through our interviews, the waters may have receded and floors replaced, but the memories -- both traumatic and heartwarming from those days in late August and early September -- remain.

These are the stories of those regular, extraordinary neighbors who endured the storm and its aftermath with you. These are their stories, in their own words.

KPRC 2 will add to this archive of memories as people come forward to tell their stories. If you would like to tell your story, contact storyideas@kprc.com with the subject line “Houston Strong Stories.”
