Rare Corpse Flower in bloom in New York

Crowds of people lined up at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) in the Bronx on Tuesday, April 4, to see an Amorphophallus titanum – also known as a corpse flower – in full bloom. According to the NYBG website, the flower only blooms for between 24 and 48 hours “every year or two,” and encouraged people to get there fast if they wanted to witness it.
