Parents of accused Santa Fe mass shooter face trial

As KPRC 2 Robert Arnold reports: A hearing just wrapped up in the long running civil lawsuit against the parents of the charged Santa Fe gunman. Several of the family members of those who were killed in 2018, as well as those who were injured but survived, banded together and sued the parents of the accused gunman. They claim more should have been done to prevent the mass shooting. They specifically point to the fact that the accused gunman got the shotgun and the revolver from his house. They say those parents should’ve seen the warning signs and should’ve done more to prevent the massacre. This case has been winding its way through the courts for several years. The judge today set trial for the end of May. However, the judge does want both sides to go to mediation, first.
