SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio couple literally paid it forward when they came across a wallet found at a New Braunfels gas station, sending it back to a Texas boy named Will via a mail package.
In a Facebook post that has now gone viral, Jeff Bauer writes: “Will, our youngest, lost his wallet last weekend while visiting family in the San Antonio area.”

“He received a package in the mail today. Make sure you read the note on the right … People are good,” Bauer said in his Facebook post.

The post was shared early afternoon on July 8 with two photos showing a handwritten note in one of the photos, and Will’s wallet with $40, along with another note in the other photo.
In the first photo, the handwritten message was inked on a "Friends are the flowers in the garden of life" note saying: “Will, My husband and I were riding around the New Braunfels area, and stopped at a quick stop for a drink. We found your wallet. Thought you would want it. Cindy Muffet.”
In Bauer’s second photo shared on his post, the second handwritten note says: “You looked a little low on cash. I put a little extra for you. Spend it wisely. God Bless You.”
The second note is seen with Will’s camouflage wallet and two $20 bills.
In the comments section of the post, people on Facebook have shared a theme by saying, “What a blessing” while others are calling for Bauer to find the generous Texans when they travel back to San Antonio.
According to his Facebook page, Bauer lives in Houston, Texas, and his post has received over 4,000 likes and has been shared more than 2,000 times.
