84-year-old Florida man killed in crash on I-10 East Freeway near Thompson
Crash involving truck, SUV shuts down I-10 East Freeway near Thompson (KPRC 2)
BAYTOWN, Texas – An 84-year-old man from Florida was killed in a crash on the I-10 East Freeway westbound near Thompson Tuesday, officials said.
A public information officer with the City of Baytown said the man was stopped in a lane of traffic with no lights on. Another driver then struck the vehicle while it was stationary in the lane of traffic, officials said.
Baytown detectives and the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office arrived at the scene sometime after the crash.
According to officials, the man’s exact cause of death is unknown at this time.
