Texas City commissioners are set to discuss the police department’s use of Flock cameras after an internal review identified two instances of possible misuse.

Manvel Mayor Dan Davis is calling on the city council to reconsider its four-year Flock Safety contract, citing concerns about privacy, data use, cybersecurity and the cost of the city's 21 license plate reader cameras.

Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey on Thursday announced that he will provide license plate reading technology to law enforcement in Harris County, in order to help them improve their efforts in identifying criminal activity.
