Among other things, 2020 was a big year for Texans to welcome new neighbors as it was the second-most moved to state in the U.S., according to a survey conducted by Move.org. Not only did the Lone Star State see an influx of new residents but also bid farewell to quite a few as it was ranked third in the top 10 states Americans left in 2020, the survey found. According the Move.org, nearly half of survey respondents said their move was due to the need for affordable housing as a result of income loss. Additionally, more than one-third of respondents said their move was a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, either from health, work, housing, or money related concerns, Move.org reports.
