Alaska’s Republican U.S. senators have introduced legislation seeking to designate North America’s tallest peak as Denali.
The Alaska Legislature has passed a resolution urging President Donald Trump to reverse course and retain the name of North America’s tallest peak as Denali rather than change it to Mount McKinley.
Google says it will take its cue from the U.S. government if it has to change the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Denali on its Maps service.
On the News from Google X account, the company responded to the order, saying they had received questions about how they would handle the changes.
