Hubbard's 2019 season was the best by an Oklahoma State back since Barry Sanders' 1988 Heisman-winning season. He rushed for 221 yards against Oregon State, 256 against Tulsa, 296 against Kansas State and 223 against TCU.
Kansas coach cleared of virus but skips West Virginia game
LAWRENCE, Kan. โ Kansas coach Les Miles has been cleared to return to the Jayhawks after his positive test for COVID-19, but out of caution is skipping the team's trip to West Virginia for Saturday's game. The 66-year-old Miles announced last week that routine testing had returned a positive test. โCoach Miles is doing well and has been cleared to leave isolation," Kansas team physician Dr. Larry Magee said in a statement. Miles isn't the only head coach to test positive for the virus. Alabama's Nick Saban and Arizona's Kevin Sumlin recently returned positive tests.

Oklahoma State's Gundy takes pay cut in wake of T-shirt flap
Athletic director Mike Holder said Friday the adjustments to Gundy's contract were the coach's idea. Two weeks ago, running back Chuba Hubbard lashed out at Gundy on social media for wearing a T-shirt promoting One America News Network. Holder didn't say whether the $1 million pay cut was a one-time arrangement or something that would happen annually. The changes were offered up by Mike Gundy, and I commend him for that, Holder said. The missing link has been a more personal relationship with their head coach, Holder said.

Oklahoma State president Burns Hargis quickly addressed the situation Monday evening, tweeting, "I hear and respect the concerns expressed by our Black student-athletes. We will not tolerate insensitive behavior by anyone at Oklahoma State." Oklahoma State Athletic Director Mike Holder also responded in a statement Monday, saying, This afternoon has been very disturbing.

2 more Oklahoma St football players positive for COVID-19
STILLWATER, Okla. Two more Oklahoma State football players have tested positive for COVID-19 since returning to campus for voluntary workouts, bringing the total to three. Linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga announced Tuesday he tested positive after he attended a protest in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marshall University in West Virginia announced Monday two of its football players and one staff member tested positive. The Big 12 is allowing schools to bring football players to campus for voluntary workouts beginning June 15. Under the plan, players who test positive are quarantined in separate housing and treated by medical staff.
