More than 120 retired US generals and admirals have published an open letter suggesting that Joe Biden was not legitimately elected as President and questioning his fitness for office. The letter, signed by 124 retired members of the armed forces calling themselves โ€˜Flag Officers 4 Americaโ€™, said that America is โ€œin deep peril,โ€ having โ€œtaken a hard-Left turn toward Socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical governmentโ€. The letter from US retired military leaders said: โ€œWithout fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the โ€˜will of the peopleโ€™ our Constitutional Republic is lost,โ€ and claimed that the FBI and Supreme Court โ€œignoredโ€ irregularities in 2020. The group also questioned the โ€œphysical and mental condition of the Commander in Chiefโ€ and claimed that questions had been raised about who is really in charge. It also touched on the southern border situation, the Iran nuclear deal, freedom of speech and China.

The incoming president's granddaughter Naomi Biden tweeted that she has the "utmost confidence" in Secret Service to protect her family. I have the utmost confidence in them and trust in their preparedness," she wrote.

Scores of retired military leaders publicly denounce Trump

WASHINGTON Scores of retired military and defense leaders are denouncing President Donald Trump and accusing him of using the U.S. Armed Forces to undermine the rights of Americans protesting police brutality and the killing of George Floyd. The condemnation Friday came in an op-ed in The Washington Post, signed by 89 former defense officials, and in a letter in support of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, signed by 55 retired military leaders. The president also threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 to deploy federal troops to quell the protests. In the letter released by the Biden campaign, leaders including retired Gen. Merrill McPeak, an Air Force chief of staff in the 1990s, call on Trump to stop tarnishing the military by deploying its forces against peaceful protesters. Those of us who have served believe the greatness of our military -- and the greatness of our nation -- depends upon the calls for change in the streets today becoming votes for change in November, the 55 military leaders wrote.
