A Memorial Hermann organ transplant physician has been indicted on federal charges related to allegedly falsifying medical records in a way that made liver transplant candidates ineligible for organ donations.

After Memorial Hermann halted its liver and kidney transplantation programs, The New York Times reported that a surgeon was accused of secretly modifying some of his patients’ transplant information which possibly prevented them from receiving care.
