Nearly a year after a newborn baby was found dead inside a trash can in Northwest Harris County, the child’s mother has been charged.

The baby was left outside his paternal grandmother's porch gate alone for approximately 6 hours before she woke up, went outside, and noticed him.

Someone called 911 early this morning and said that the baby was left in a car seat at their front door.
