Houston Life loves a good surprise — especially when it involves hometown heroes. We teamed up with bp America, a longtime partner of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, to pull off something special for the men and women who protect our city every single day.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo kicks of next week and on March 10 it is First Responders Day at RODEOHOUSTON sponsored by BP America. It's a way to recognize these first responders from public law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and other emergency services agencies. We sent Mel Camp out with our friends from BP America to deliver a special rodeo surprise ahead of the big day, Brad Paisley tickets!

First Responders Day presented by BP America is a day when The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo salutes all of our local heroes. The First Responders Day Ceremony honored 18 individual and four groups of first responders. Each of their heroic deeds read like a scene from a movie.
