The FBI Houston Public Corruption Task Force has created an email for the public to report suspicion of public corruption directly to FBI special agents.

HOUSTON – Nobody wants to get all ready to Netflix and chill, only to discover your Netflix account has been disabled. Scammers are sending our emails that appear to be from Netflix, asking you to update your current billing information. There are several similar phishing scams using the Amazon logo. If you want to report those emails, the real Amazon wants to hear about them. You can send the phishing email to stop-spoofing@amazon.com.

That is exactly what Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg and her team are claiming Wednesday, following an email Ogg sent to prosecutors Tuesday. “If at the end of the day Kim Ogg sent this email then there is more to this than certainly meets the eye,” said KPRC 2 legal analyst Brian Wice. “Generally, Kim Ogg is not as polarizing and political as this email suggests,” said Mark Jones a Political Science Professor at Rice University. Nonetheless, nearly 24 hours after sending the email, an attorney in Ogg’s office sent a follow-up email stating that Ogg sent the email out too early. However, Ogg’s email address was used to send the email to the office.
