A dramatic police chase in Galveston ended in a truck crashing into a home near the intersection of Winnie Street and 8th Street.

Charges have been filed against a 23-year-old man who was driving a vehicle that a woman, somehow, managed to climb out of as it was traveling on the North Freeway Sunday night. That action led to the woman’s death, according to Houston police.

A repeat DWI offender has been given probation again for driving around Houston’s streets while under the influence of alcohol, according to court documents.
