Families of the astronauts lost in the space shuttle Challenger accident are marking that tragic day 40 years ago.

NASA's annual Day of Remembrance honors fallen astronauts with ceremonies nationwide, including wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery led by Jim Free and events at various NASA centers.

The Russian leader said Monday his forces would have crushed the armed mutiny had Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin's fighters not turned back from Moscow.

NASA will honor its astronauts who died during mission, including the crews of Apollo 1 and space shuttles Challenger and Columbia leading up to and during the agency’s annual Day of Remembrance on Jan. 26, according to a news release.
