Cavs get 101-90 win to hand Houston 12th straight loss
HOUSTON โ Collin Sexton scored 39 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers handed the hapless Houston Rockets their 12th straight loss with a 101-90 victory on Monday night. The Cavaliers scored the next four points with the help of a steal by Darius Garland to push the lead back to 10 a minute later. Sexton has scored 22 points or more in nine straight games. Though they couldn't pull it out late, the Rockets played better than they did in a 49-point loss to Memphis. โI believe in this group's competitiveness and their fight, especially coming off the loss we had last night," Houston coach Stephen Silas said.

NBA says 1 player has tested positive for virus in past week

The total for the season in the NBA is up to 92, but of those, 48 โ or 52% โ tested positive in November, before training camps officially opened. The NBA reported one positive test for the weekly period ending Jan. 26, and no positive tests for the period ending Feb. 3. Minnesotaโs Karl-Anthony Towns โ who has missed 13 games โ tested positive last month and his recovery is nearly complete. The NBA does not reveal which players test positive for COVID-19, but Milwaukeeโs Khris Middleton said earlier this week that Bucks guard Jrue Holiday tested positive for the virus.

Irving returns, but new-look Nets beaten by Cavs in 2 OTs
