Big days from Wilson, Metcalf lead Seahawks past 49ers 37-27
Wilson threw four more touchdown passes, two to Metcalf, and the Seahawks rebounded from their first loss of the season with a resounding 37-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Wilson and Metcalf tormented San Francisco and its banged up secondary as the top-scoring offense in the league continued to pile up points. Wilson found rookie DeeJay Dallas on a 2-yard TD pass after San Francisco went three-and-out to open the second half for a 20-7 lead. The momentum from two straight wins for San Francisco (4-4) evaporated in a hurry as more injuries continued to pile. San Francisco played without starters Deebo Samuel, Jeff Wilson Jr., Kwon Alexander and safety Jaquiski Tartt.

Texans-Chiefs set to kick off NFL season unlike any other
Fans watch the Kansas City Chiefs during NFL football training camp Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. Chiefs coach Andy Reid no longer carries around the heavy and ignominious tag of best coach never to win a championship. This is the best opportunity you can have to start the season. That contract extension is the second largest in NFL history. Very, very dynamic players, Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. The NFL should re-sign Colin Kaepernick, says Seattle Seahawks running back Carlos Hyde
Seattle Seahawks' new signing Carlos Hyde says the NFL should offer Colin Kaepernick a route back to the sport to prove it is serious about change. I think the NFL can start by signing Kaep back," Hyde, a former teammate of Kaepernick at the 49ers, told reporters on Monday. "I think if they sign Kaep back, that'll show that they're really trying to move in a different direction. Houston Texans 2020 Offseason Position Preview: Running Backs
It all worked out about as well as could be expected, with both Hyde and Johnson having their moments. Up until 2019, Hyde had been the ultimate journeyman, playing for four teams in just a matter of the last couple years before becoming a Texan. I doubt his 2019 season will be viewed around the league as a sign that he is a late bloomer. More likely, Hyde's 2019 season will be viewed as an outlier, and his price should stay in a reasonable range for the Texans to bring him back. I think this is a sleeper possibility for the Texans, finding another playmaker to augment the offense surrounding Deshaun Watson.

State of the Texans: What they are saying entering Bye Week
I think they're trending in the right direction, but I think this is a big week for that. They're good guys, that's number one. They're good teammates, they care about winning, they care about doing the right thing for the team. I think that's a big deal. It's a great group of guys, a great unit and they continue to get better each and every week.
