A League City man, Juan Jose Uribe Pelaez, was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing his parents in their home, resulting in his mother's death and his father injured.

Houston police responded to a reported assault early Saturday at a home on Briarcliff Drive, where a man allegedly attacked his girlfriend and then refused to leave the residence.
