Houston police say an elderly man died after being hit by two different vehicles while crossing Highway 288 Sunday evening.

A 57-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in east Harris County near Cloverleaf. The incident occurred on Woodforest Boulevard, involving a possible white 2013-2018 Ram pickup truck that fled the scene. The Harris County Sheriff's Office is reviewing surveillance video and seeking information from witnesses. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Vehicular Crimes or Crime Stoppers.

The collision happened in the 13000 block of Jones Road at Mills Road.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 15400 block of Gettysburg Drive, not far from Louetta Road.
