KPRC 2 and Rhythm Energy Athlete of the Week: Fort Bend Hightower’s Sydney Thomas

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – Big spotlight is on Fort Bend County for our KPRC 2 Sports and Rhythm Energy Athlete of the Week.

In Missouri City, the Hightower girls basketball program is annually one of the most talented in the Greater Houston area. This season was no different as Hightower capped of a terrific 31-4 season advancing to the Regional finals.

One of Hightower’s star players is Sydney Thomas who was consistent on the floor all season leading the Hurricanes on the cusp of a trip to the UIL State Tournament.

Thomas also is a standout in the classroom as well setting an example for all of Hightower teammates.
