Texans offense still a mystery heading into 2026 season

C.J. Stroud is receiving high praise for his development this offseason

HOUSTON – The biggest question mark coming into the 2026 season for the Houston Texans has been the offensive side of the ball. With the addition of rookie guard Keylan Rutledge and adding pieces to protect quarterback C.J. Stroud, there’s some expected improvement.

But how does Stroud think the offense is going to look this upcoming season?

“We’ll see, man,” said Stroud. “I think we’ve put a lot of good things on tape during camp and our joint practices and, you know, in preseason, and now it’s one play at a time for us.”

He’s been receiving high praise from the captain of the Texans’ defense, Will Anderson Jr.

“Man, C.J. is locked in,” said Will. He’s been coming to work every single day; he’s been bringing the guys along with him. The offense is looking really great, and I can’t wait to go watch him spin on Sunday."

The Texans open this season this Sunday at 12 p.m. at Reliant Stadium, hosting the Buffalo Bills.
