What’s new for Texans fans: Upgraded food, new clubs and more at NRG Stadium

It’s time for football fans to prepare for the game day experience at Reliant Stadium.

HOUSTON – As a new NFL season approaches, football fans are getting ready for another year of game days at Reliant Stadium.

The countdown is on to the Texans’ home opener on Sept. 13 against the Buffalo Bills. And if you’re heading to the opener, or any game this season, expect an upgraded stadium experience, especially when it comes to food.

The Texans held their annual “What’s New” event Monday, unveiling new food and beverage options coming to the stadium this season.

And there are plenty of choices for big appetites.

There will be 80 new food and drink options throughout the stadium, with several menu items tapping into some of the biggest food trends right now, including protein-packed meals and foods served in bowls.

One of the biggest examples is the Get Jacked Protein Power Burger Bowl, featuring a chopped burger patty, bacon, nacho cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and Cajun cheese curds served over fries in a football-shaped souvenir bowl.

Fans will also find barbacoa beef and fried chicken bowls, along with the Texans-inspired Battle Red Berry Bird, a fried chicken sandwich tossed in strawberry-buffalo sauce and topped with coleslaw, pickles and Cajun cheese curds.

And because this is Houston, there’s some fusion on the menu, too.

New options include peri peri nachos and Korean meatball bao, while El Tiempo is returning to the stadium with locations on the first and fifth levels. Hugo’s and Craft Pita will also be available on the club level.

But the upgrades aren’t limited to the concession stands.

For fans looking for a more premium experience, the stadium is introducing the new 6,000-square-foot BMW Lone Star Ballroom.

Inside that space is the exclusive BMW M Club Blue, offering a higher-end game-day experience with premium food and additional perks.

The Texans say they are trying to offer something for every type of fan, from traditional stadium favorites to more exclusive experiences. And despite the new offerings, the team says prices on some standard items, including nachos and beer, remain unchanged.

So whether you’re looking for a classic game-day bite, something Instagram-worthy, or a more upscale experience, there will be plenty of new options to check out when the Texans kick off the 2026 season.
