HOUSTON –
The Texans are signing former Tennessee Titans wide receiver and returner Jha’Quan Jackson, per a league source.

The Texans are also re-signing linebacker and Conroe native K.C. Ossai, who was with the team last year as an undrafted rookie before being released, per a league source. Ossai was released from the Miami Dolphins this spring after spending time on their practice squad and the Texans’ practice squad last year.
Jackson was part of a five receiver workout a week ago as the team sought depth at the position, per league sources.
The audition included former Miami Dolphins wide receiver River Cracraft, former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Samori Toure, Jackson and former Marshall wide receiver Demarcus Lacey.
Jackson is represented by Aura Sports Group’s David Canter and Ness Mugrabi.
Jackson played in 12 games for the Tennessee Titans in 2024, catching one pass for eight yards He returned 28 punts for a 7.7 average and 16 kickoff returns for a 25.8 average.
Jackson (5-9, 188) has run the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds.
Jackson, 26, has also played for the New Orleans Saints. He played collegiately at Tulane.
He was waived last year by the Titans and signed with the Saints practice squad and was then waived a day earlier. He spent time this year with the St. Louis Battlehawks in the United Football League and was waived on March 19.
Jackson’s uncle is former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
At Tulane, he has 109 career receptions for 1,743 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Ossai is a Conroe native and the younger brother of Joseph Ossai.
Last year, he signed a three-year deal that includes a $15,000 signing bonus, plus $160,000 of his base salary fully guaranteed for $175,000 total guaranteed after going undrafted out of Louisiana.
Ossai (6-foot-2, 241 pounds) is an Oak Ridge graduate who was named All-Sun Belt Conference. As a junior, he had 95 tackles, 4 1/2 for losses and one sack with two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. In high school, he had 93 tackles, 10 for losses, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
He chose Louisiana over Arizona, Army, Air Force, UTSA and Nevada.
