GOLF: Stewart Cink has used his failures on the PGA Champions Tour to fuel his four-win season ahead of the Insperity Invitational

Cink will look to defend his title as the Insperity Invitational Champion while looking for his 5th PGA Champions Tour victory this weekend at The Woodlands Country Club.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Coming off a dominant victory at the Regions Tradition tournament last weekend, PGA Champions Tour golfer Stewart Cink is coming into this weekend’s Insperity Invitational having won four tournaments so far this season.

After winning the 2025 Insperity Invitational, there’s a ton of confidence in his process and the way he’s playing so far in 2026, but what’s led to all this success?

“I would say what really led to it was some failures,” said Cink. “That’s what happens a lot of times when somebody goes on a run, is that they figure out what was costing them and holding them back, and they address it, and that’s what I did. I had a lot of near misses when I came out on the PGA Tour Champions. It’s been a fun run, but it was really born out of some failures, and I had to look in this mirror and figure out what my expectations were.”

Cink’s four wins have put him at the top of the Charles Schwab standings with $1,970,800 in earnings so far this season.
