Following a trade deadline deal, Sasser and Grimes are now both members of the Detroit Pistons.

Sasser was already with the Pistons, having been a first-round draft pick (No. 25 overall) of Detroit last summer.

Sasser is averaging 7.9 points in 16.2 minutes per game so far this year.

Grimes was just traded to Detroit along with Ryan Arcidiacono, Malachi Flynn, Evan Fournier and two second-round draft picks in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks.

Grimes was also taken No. 25 overall, but was done so in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.

He was then traded to the New York Knicks, where he has spent the first three seasons of his career. This season, he is averaging 8.6 points in 23.7 minutes per game.

The only other two former Houston players in the NBA are Jarace Walker, who is with Indiana, and Nathaniel Hinton, who is with the Rockets.
