An iconic basketball jersey worn by Kobe Bryant from his time with the Los Angeles Lakers will be put up for auction next month.

The jersey, worn during his 2007-2008 MVP season is expected to be the most valuable piece of Bryant memorabilia, CNBC reported.

Sotheby’s, the company running the auction, announced it expects the jersey to sell for between $5 million and $7 million online.

“To have this jersey from that iconic moment is not only really special, but it has also served as this point of inspiration all over the world of Kobe in this jersey,” the company told CNBC.

The jersey became synonymous with the famous image of Bryant taken April 23, 2008 during Game 2 of the Western Conference Series, where he sank a three-pointer securing a 14-point lead for the Lakers, which later commemorated his only MVP season.

Bryant’s memorabilia saw stronger demand since his tragic death in a helicopter crash that also killed his daughter, Gianna, and several others in January of 2020.

Bidding for the jersey starts online on Feb. 2.
