The actual carving took about an 1 1/2 hours, but the stencil of Altuve’s face took much longer – about four hours, she said.

Galmiche said she chose Altuve because he’s representing all Hispanics and he’s a great role model.

“You can tell that he works hard,” Galmiche said. “He stands out. He never disappoints. He’s always on his game.”

As for Galmiche, she’s taking her sons, 5 and 7, out for trick-or-treating, but they know it’s going to be cut short tonight for the big World Series game.

“I hope (the score is) whatever number we can get and the Dodgers zero,” Glamiche said. “I hope it’s the last game.”
