HOUSTON – About a week after Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown ended his holdout and reported to the team, the Texans have traded him to the Seattle Seahawks, multiple reports say.

Brown played Sunday for the Texans in a 41-38 loss to the Seahawks.

ESPN.com reports that a source said Brown is headed to Seattle. NFL.com is also reporting the news.

The 10-year NFL veteran had skipped the team’s off-season workouts and training camp, and reported to the team with what was believed to be a desire to renegotiate his contract that had two seasons remaining.

Brown was subject to forfeiture of game checks for the six games he already missed this season. At his salary, those monies total more than $3 million in lost wages.

Under his contract, Brown would have earned a little less than $19 million for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, but the money is not guaranteed.

Brown released the following statement on his Instagram page:

"Thank you to the Houston Texans organization for the opportunity to live out my dream the last 9 years. Thank you to the city of Houston and Texans Nation for the love and support you've shown me and my family. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Much Love."
