VIDEO: Dodgers fan jumps in Astros bullpen after back-to-back home runs by Altuve, Correa

Man taunted Astros fan from Houston, escorted out of ballpark, report says

LOS ANGELES – Shortly after Houston Astros stars Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa hit back-to-back home runs to take a 5-3 lead in the top of the 10th inning Wednesday night, a Dodgers fan apparently did not want to stick around to see the final score.

The man, identified by USA Today as 41-year-old Alan Dreyfus of Chandler, Arizona, was reportedly taunting a Houston fan during the majority of Game 2 of the World Series in Los Angeles.

A security guard working near the Astros bullpen called for Dreyfus to be ejected from the game after telling the Dodgers fan to “settle down,” according to USA Today.

Soon after the call for an ejection, Dreyfus jumped over the railing in an attempt to confront the security guard, according to USA Today.

Julio Torres told USA Today he was the victim of Dreyfus’ verbal onslaught -- cursing and verbal threats -- much of the game and traveled from Houston to catch the historic game at Dodger Stadium.

In the interview with USA Today, Torres said the verbal altercation began around the seventh inning and “it got to the point where things started to get hostile.”

The moment Dreyfus jumped over the railing into the Astros bullpen was captured on video and went viral on Twitter.

In the video, Dreyfus is seen being restrained by Astros coach Craig Bjornson and a security guard after jumping into the team’s bullpen, with a handful of Houston players surrounding the short scuffle.

Several other guards and law enforcement are seen in the video running to the Astros bullpen and later seen in a separate video escorting the handcuffed Dreyfus out of Dodger Stadium.

According to USA Today, Dreyfus is facing a misdemeanor battery charge (against a security guard) and an additional charge of field intrusion.

The Astros tied up the series 1-1 with the Dodgers, grabbing their first ever World Series (7-6) win in franchise history.

The series shifts to Minute Maid Park in Houston beginning with Game 3 on Friday at 7:09 p.m. CT.
