Astros to screen 'The Sandlot' at Minute Maid Park

HOUSTON – Fans of baseball will get a bit more to enjoy after attending the Aug. 17 Houston Astros game at Minute Maid Park.

After the 'Stros take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, fans will be treated to one of the 90s most iconic movies about baseball – "The Sandlot."

Set in 1962, the film features a group of kids whose adventures and misadventures stem from their love of America’s pastime.

Fans are encouraged to move to the third-base side of the main concourse to watch the film being shown on "El Grande."

The movie starts about 20 minutes after the game ends.
