Final Four fans pack Discovery Green for live performances

HOUSTON – A big time crowd spent Friday night rocking out to some big-name acts at Discovery Green for the Final Four Music Festival.

Freddie Lewellen, who was enjoying the shows said, "It's pretty nice to have some place where you can bring your family and have a good time downtown."

Panic! at the Disco was just one of the bands performing that brought plenty of people not just from the area and other states, but even different countries.

Nick Duske, in from Canada said, "Anywhere we've ever been you have to pay to get in. This is fanstastic. The kids are having a lot of fun, something we could do for the full day."

But everyone including the locals like Derek Thomas and his little one enjoyed the shows.

"To celebrate the Final 4, it's a great opportunity and chance. we're just enjoying it and having a great time," explained Derek Thomas.

With Houston in the national spotlight foe the Final Four Weekend, many are already thinking ahead to another major event.

Thomas said, "It's huge. Its huge. It's really a stepping stone for the Super Bowl."
