Owls sign 18 on National Signing Day

HOUSTON – 16 of 18 signatures David Baliff and Rice received on National Signing Day are from student-athletes from the state of Texas. One of the athletes hails from Louisiana and the other from Missouri.

"This is always an exciting day because it payoff for so much work by so many people" Bailiff said. "For these young men, this is the beginning of a new phase of their lives as they have made the decision to continue their playing careers at Rice. 

The Owls signed five defensive backs, four defensive lineman, three offensive lineman, two quarterbacks, two running backs, one tight end and one kicker.
