Mall brawl: Women fight at Florida mall as child is left unattended in stroller

Fort Myers, Fla. – A video showing several women in a violent fight inside a crowded Florida mall Sunday has gone viral on Facebook.

Caught right in the middle of the melee was a small child in a stroller.

The women kicked, punched, pulled hair and spit as the all-out brawl broke out at the center of the Edison Mall, WBBH reported

"There was a lot of yelling,” David Milburn said. “I couldn't understand what they were saying though. I mean, there (were) just so many of them."

Milburn shot the viral video just feet away from where a group of women was beating on two others outside of Victoria’s Secret.

"No one really intervened no one tried to break it up," Milburn said.

The fight was fueled by the murder of Samuel Jones who was shot and killed in Lehigh Acres Saturday, WBBH reported, citing a police report statement.

The victim says one suspect is blaming her.

Children were caught up in the middle of the fight.

"The girl was down and she pulled the baby over and kicked her in her face and took off running -- left the baby."

A man standing nearby grabbed onto the stroller.

"The baby was there all by itself, you know, so he stood there to try and kind of make sure I guess nothing happened to the child," Milburn said.

The fight is now stirring up questions of the safety measures in place at the Edison Mall, especially with the last holiday shopping weekend coming up.

But the company would only say "no comment."

"They need to step up their game. It's a big mall; a lot of stuff can happen," Milburn said.

The police report says six suspects assaulted two women in the fight.

Florida's Department of Children and Families is also investigating.
