HOUSTON – A Houston area woman is speaking out after she said she received lewd texts from a man who sold her a car.
"Just completely disgusted you know," said Christina Wians.
Wians said shortly after she purchased a car from Texas Direct Auto in Stafford she began receiving calls and texts from dealership employees.
"That would say you know, 'Hey, Christina how are you,' or 'Hey, beautiful how are you doing?'" said Wians.
Wians said the employees got her number from the personal information she provided to purchase the vehicle. Wians, a married mother of a 3-year-old boy, said she at first chalked up the texts to harmless flirtations. However, Wians said one employee would not stop texting her with messages like, "But, you turn me on," and "Do you like older guys?"
Wians said the salesman knew she was married.
"My car is in my husband's name," said Wians. "I told him I had a girlfriend, I mean I told him so many things to get him to leave me alone."
Wians said despite attempts to stop the texts, the dealership employee responded by texting her a sexually explicit picture of himself, along with lewd remarks and a request that she send him a picture of her.
"Couldn't believe that he saw me, that he really thought it was OK to do that," said Wians. "After the first initial let down, you know, the first initial, 'no, I'm not interested,' the first initial, 'no, I'm happily married,' that's when you stop. I think that when it goes beyond that, then it's harassment."
Wians said after receiving the picture she called her husband, who is stationed at an Air Force base in Mississippi, and her father for help.
Dealership general manager Todd Yarborough told Local 2 when the family brought the matter to his attention he immediately fired the employee. Yarborough also said a meeting was held with the staff to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.
