Anyone who has purchased the ax can take it back to the store for a refund.

The product was sold by Walmart in stores and online from Jan. 2017 through July 2018 for roughly $8, according to the commission.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Walmart received two reports of axe heads detaching from the handle, resulting in minor cuts and abrasions.

Editor's note: A previous story erroneously called this a toy ax.
