Police: man in wheelchair allegedly shoots, kills manager of halfway home

A man is in custody after police say he allegedly shot and killed a man Saturday morning.

It happened at a converted half-way house on Elm Tree Drive and Selinsky Road in southeast Houston.

According to police, a man in a wheelchair was allegedly causing problems and was kicked out of the home. However, Houston Police say the man came back to the home around 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police say someone in the home saw him approaching and called for the manager.

When the manager arrived, police say the man in the wheelchair allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him.

The manager was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The man in the wheelchair was taken into custody.

Neither the victim nor the man in the wheelchair have been identified.
