Witnesses told police Bautista was outside his home when a bearded Hispanic man wearing dark pants, a gray T-shirt and a baseball cap got out of a black and tan Ford F-150 four-door truck with a shotgun.

The man confronted Bautista and after a brief conversation in Spanish, the man shot Bautista once and then got in the truck and drove north on Wafer, police said.

The truck is described by authorities as having aftermarket wheels, paper registration in the back window and a small sticker on the left side of the back window.
