AUSTIN – The Texas Lottery has launched its newest $2 scratch ticket, which supports the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance, lottery officials said.
"The Texas Lottery has contributed more than $77 million to the Fund for Veterans' Assistance and we are proud to generate support for the 1.7 million Texas veterans across the state," executive director of the Texas Lottery, Gary Grief, said.

Lottery officials said Double Match features six top prizes of $30,000 and more than $9.3 million in total prizes.
The Fund for Veterans' Assistance makes grants available to eligible charitable organizations, local government agencies and veterans' service organizations that provide direct services to Texas veterans and their families, officials said. The programs provide financial assistance, transportation services, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder counseling and housing assistance.
The Texas Lottery said it first launched the veterans' themed scratch ticket game on Nov. 9, 2009, following the passage of a bill during the 81st Legislature.
The overall odds of winning are one in 4.47 for any prize, including break-even prizes, lottery officials said.
