Map of Will Clayton Parkway closure. (Houston Airports)
Drivers heading to George Bush Intercontinental Airport should plan ahead this week as lane closures are expected along Will Clayton Parkway.
Houston Airports will repair concrete in the westbound lanes of the 6100 block of Will Clayton Parkway, between Kenswick Drive and Lee Road. Prep work begins today, with major demolition and concrete work scheduled from Aug. 25 through Aug. 28.
Travelers should expect overnight closures of two of the three westbound lanes during construction. All three lanes are expected to reopen by Friday afternoon.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted signs and consider JFK Boulevard as an alternate route.
