Houston airport workers set to receive pay increase, Mayor Whitmire and union leaders announce

HOUSTON – Houston airport workers are set to receive a salary increase, according to the City of Houston.

Mayor John Whitmire and Elsa Flores, president of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Texas, are scheduled to announce details of the pay increase during a press conference Wednesday.

The press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The city has not yet released details about the amount of the salary increase, which airport workers will be affected or when the raises will take effect.
