Halloween may still be months away, but Spirit Halloween is already preparing for its busiest season ever.
The specialty Halloween retailer announced it plans to hire more than 52,000 seasonal associates to staff a record 1,575 Spirit Halloween stores across the United States and Canada for the 2026 season. The hiring push marks the company’s largest seasonal recruitment effort in its history.

Spirit is looking to fill a variety of seasonal positions, including:
- Seasonal Sales Associates
- Assistant Managers
- Store Managers
- Zone Managers
- Regional Managers
The company said employees will help with store setup, merchandising, daily operations and teardown after Halloween.
“Spirit Halloween provides a dynamic and fun work environment where associates can be part of something truly special each season,” CEO Steven Silverstein said in a news release. He added that employees play a key role in transforming stores into destinations where communities can celebrate Halloween.
According to Spirit Halloween, seasonal employees receive flexible scheduling, competitive pay, employee discounts and opportunities for returning seasonal work and career growth.
